The Food Revolution is a national movement started by chef Jamie Oliver that aims to change the way people eat and to keep cooking skills alive in homes and communities across the United States.
Adults spend most of their waking hours at work. They often feel pressed for time and, as a result, their eating habits suffer. But what if they had the tools and the time to develop cooking skills and share their experiences? Putting the Food Revolution to work at work is a natural place to start.

We’ve had a bit of a week here at MoD collecting all things white. Our white walls have acquired a white chest of drawers out of my grandfather’s garage and we’ve extended the stationery budget and purchased a few more items.
Why white? It is cheap and it is clean and has the added advantage of often looking more expensive than it really is (shhhh). With this in mind Have You Met Miss Jones? definitely caught my eye. The amount of white bone china items they have for sale is astounding.
Initially I fell in love with the cabbage night-light but the button plate stole my heart.

Love makes the world go around. That’s what they say, right? Well, Sheridan has put together a great project all about love and how awesome it is. He began with a callout to creative people to create a visual response to the phrase ‘I Love You’ and express it in black and white. The finalists have now made it into a book to rest on your coffee table

This little piece of genius has everything we love - social good, kids and education.
Pick Up America is the nation’s first coast-to-coast roadside litter pickup. Our mission is to pick up trash across the country, educate, and encourage a transition toward zero waste. Through community litter clean-ups and outreach events, the Pick Up Artists encourage alternatives to our nation’s throwaway mentality. The trek began at Assateague Island, Md., in March 2010 and plans to span 13 states to the San Francisco Bay in November 2012.
It has to go global - don’t you think?

I don’t speak french but I do know I project I love when I see it. Greenhouse spaces for plants that grow in street-scapes and other urban locations where they aren’t always welcome.
Gorgeous.

How do you generate a record amount of revenue and book donations for a charity book sale when you have a budget of almost zero?
Stairwells were wrapped in a busy downtown parking garage to look like a giant stack of books. The “Have Any Books Lying Around?” messaging was placed on the stairs and on a nearby poster. Post it jacket notes, parking buildings, electrical boxes and even an elevator wrapped in books were used in the promotion.
Anything that promotes literacy has our vote.

The Umbrella Project is coming to the City of York from the 7th of October, to the 12th of November 2011. During this time umbrellas will appear all over the city and are free to pick up, free to use, drop off at another point, or pass on. The Umbrella Project is collecting stories, and each of these umbrellas has a number on. If you call the number, you will be invited to answer a question.

One of the best teachers I have ever had the privilege to teach with loved flowers. She is a biologist- for her flowers are magical things that symbolise fecundity.
Flowers are indeed one of the most beautiful and complex structures found in nature, specifically designed to achieve the purpose of reproduction.
We love this “Exploded Flowers Series” because of the many complex structures and parts of flowers that the project reveals. Take a look (and don’t miss the Hydrangeas).
